Structures We Tear Down and Remove

Every type of small residential structure, from a single playset to a full backyard overhaul.

Shed Demolition and Removal: Wood sheds, metal sheds, plastic/resin sheds, and storage buildings. Sheds deteriorate fast in Florida’s heat and humidity, with floors that have developed cracks, rusted panels, sagging roofs, and doors that haven’t opened in years. We disassemble or demolish them on-site, load all materials onto the truck, and clear the footprint. Wood, metal, and resin are separated for proper disposal.

Deck and Porch Demolition: Wood decks, composite decks, screened porches, and elevated platforms. Deck demo involves pulling up boards, removing railing systems, cutting support posts, and hauling away all the lumber and hardware. We work carefully around adjacent structures, your house siding, your pool cage, and your landscaping to make sure only the deck comes down.

Fence Removal: Wood privacy fences, chain-link fences, vinyl fences, and metal/wrought iron fences. Whether it’s a full perimeter tear-down or a section that needs to come out for a new pool, driveway expansion, or property line adjustment, we pull posts, remove panels, and haul everything away. Concrete footings can be removed on most jobs. Let us know during the quote.

Playset and Swing Set Removal: Wooden playsets, metal swing sets, trampolines, and backyard play structures. Kids outgrow them, the wood rots, the hardware rusts, and they become eyesores and liability risks. We disassemble them down to the bolts, load everything, and clear the area. If the set is still usable, we’ll evaluate it for donation before disposing of it.

Pergola and Gazebo Removal: Wood pergolas, vinyl pergolas, pop-up gazebos, and freestanding shade structures. These can be deceptively heavy and well-anchored. We handle the tear-down and haul-away regardless of size or material.

Hot Tub Removal: Hot tub tear-down and removal are among our most common light demolition calls. We disconnect, break down, and haul away all types of hot tubs, spas, and swim spas. For full details, see our dedicated hot tub removal page.

Concrete Pad and Slab Removal: Small concrete pads (under sheds, hot tubs, AC units), walkways, and thin slabs. We break up the concrete, load the rubble, and haul it away. Large-scale concrete removal (full driveways and foundations) is outside our scope, but most residential pads are well within it.

Other Small Structures: dog houses, chicken coops, small storage buildings, above-ground pool frames, carport frames, old satellite dishes, basketball hoops with concrete footings, and anything else that needs to be torn down before it can be removed. Light Demolition vs. Full Demolition: What’s the Difference?

Light demolition covers structures that can be torn down with hand tools and standard equipment, such as reciprocating saws, pry bars, sledgehammers, bolt cutters, and manual labor. Sheds, decks, fences, playsets, pergolas, hot tubs, and small concrete pads all fall into this category.

Full demolition involves heavy equipment, such as excavators, bobcats, and dump trucks, and covers whole-house tear-downs, large commercial buildings, in-ground swimming pools, and full foundation removal. That’s a different type of contractor with different licensing and insurance requirements.  Check with the Polk County Building Division if you’re unsure whether your project needs one.
